Amazing events! Have you witnessed an amazing event? The birth of a baby! A spectacular sunset! The transformation of a life! A beautiful flower! What about a man rising from the dead? There is an amazing event! Although we have stories of people who have technically died and come back to life, the Scriptures bear the witness to one, Jesus Christ, who died, was buried, and rose from the dead. No one came off a Roman cross alive. Soldiers made sure that you were dead. In the case of Jesus, they didn't need to break his leg to hasten death. Jesus was already dead. But the amazing event is that Jesus didn't stay dead. On the third day as the Scriptures tell us, Jesus rose from the dead. We could look at the evidence and the eyewitness accounts. And such a look would reveal Jesus rising from the dead. The most telling evidence for the resurrection is transformed lives. We see the changed lives of the early followers, who went from timid followers hiding in an upper room from religious and governments who were out to silence follows of Jesus, transformed into followers who boldly proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus. Such a resurrection should transform our lives. Knowing that Jesus is risen should challenge how we live. Do we live as though Jesus has risen? The fact that Jesus is risen should change our outlook on life. We serve a risen Saviour who has conquered death. We serve a risen Saviour, who be cause He has risen from the dead, we know that when we die, wi will also live because Jesus lives. Place your life in His safe hands.
