The present virus crisis has seen you lose your income, but you have managed to find some casual work. It means getting to know a new group of people you will work with. It is not always easy to get to know people.
How then do we get to know someone you cannot see? How do you get to know God? The God of the Bible tells us how we can get to know Him.
He says to those who are seeking Him, “Take a look at creation.” “Have you seen my glory displayed there?” God speaks through His creation. The next time you go for bush walk or pause to smell a flower or watch a wedge-tailed eagle soar, God has His glory on display.
Or as you read through the Bible we discover God speaks and reveals what He is like. His law is perfect indicating that the One behind the Word is perfect.
Of course we see what God is like through His Son, Jesus Christ. If we want to know God then look to the Son. We see in the Son the attributes of the Father.
God has not left us bereft of what He is like. He has revealed Himself to us through His creation. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word. He has revealed Himself to us through His Son.
God calls for a response to His revelation. We can choose to reject what He has revealed. Or we can accept and take the journey to know Him more.
